Description of Service

CCT provides public transportation through an on demand, next day scheduled reservation (i.e. need a ride on Tuesday you have to call and reserve on Monday), non-emergency service.

Our Service Area

CCT’s service area is the City Limits (2 mile bubble) of Miles City, Montana. Service to Billings, Forsyth and some special accommodations.

Ticket Locations

Individual tickets or 10 ride punch tickets can be purchased at the following locations:

  • Transit Office at the Eastern Mt Fairgrounds
  • Extension Office at the County Courthouse
  • On the bus with the bus driver

Service Types

CCT provides curb-to-curb service. The following policies explain the meaning and intent of curb to curb.

Private Homes

CCT operators will not enter private homes for any reason.  CCT operators will assist passengers on and off the bus only.  CCT Operators will assist in carrying packages and/or groceries off the bus and no further.

Business/Medical Facilities/Public Building

CCT operators may assist passengers into and from the inside door. Due to extreme temperatures in entryways, bus operators may assist passengers through the second door when necessary. CCT operators will not assist passengers past this point.

CCT operators will not enter nursing homes, medical facilities, shopping centers or businesses in an attempt to find passengers. Passengers must be waiting a designated pickup point at least ten-minutes before their pick-up time or the no-show policy will apply.

Fares and Tickets

All passengers are required to pay one fare for each one-way or round-trip ride.

If a passenger, 60 and under, does not have a ticket, credit card or cash fare, service will not be provided unless other arrangements have been made in the office.

If an individual, over the age of 60, is unable to afford transportation service, arrangements for fares can be made with the CCT supervisor at (406)-874-2222.

The CCT Advisory Board will review any special arrangements that are requested.

All rides can only be scheduled with the CCT Dispatch number the day before the ride is required. Rides cannot be scheduled with the CCT operators. Rides may be scheduled by calling our dispatch number below during business hours of 8AM to 5PM.
